The Assassin's Enemy Lover

Chapter 402

Yi Chen licked his lips which still had the lingering warmth from the passionate kiss just now.

“Han Han...,” called out Yi Chen but he couldn’t come up with the words to dissuade him. He didn’t even try to free himself from his bindings. He just looked at Zi Han with a dejected look on his face. He watched his lover take off the outfit he was wearing and put on his gear.

When Zi Han finished putting on his clothes he walked over to Yi Chen and said, “Forget it. I wouldn’t want to get you in trouble again. You can go ahead and spend the rest of your evening with that fuckin model or whatever. She can finish what I started,” he said glancing at the bulge on his pants.

Yi Chen, “...”

After saying that Zi Han stomped over to the window and as he opened it he heard Yi Chen call his name his voice sounding panicked.

“Han Han,” he said and Zi Han paused his steps with the cool breeze from outside blowing in his face cooling the heat from earlier.

“Everything I do... I do it for us. Please believe me. I love you and you are my priority,” said Yi Chen and Zi Han closed his eyes suppressing the emotions threatening to spill over.

He was afraid that he would cave in and stay here with Yi Chen but when he recalled what that woman said about his grandmother, grandfather and father he couldn’t let her live another day. She couldn’t continue living happily while his father’s life was cut short because of her scheming. Her jealousy and resentment drove her to murder someone innocent using her son as the knife.

.....

“I know,” said Zi Han before leaping out of the window engaging his mech while speaking to his mother.

“She is not here,” he said and Zi Xingxi who was still standing on the rooftop was a little surprised. If he knew she wasn’t there then what had he been doing all this time?

She summoned Chronos and followed after him while asking, “If you knew she wasn’t there then why did you take so long?”

Zi Han sniffled before saying, “I don’t want to talk about it. At least not now.”

Zi Xingxi didn’t push it. She knew it had something to do with Yi Chen. “Okay, Lynn Feng find that bitch,” she said.

“I am already on it,” replied Lynn Feng as she began digging deep into Sheba and every other channel. It didn’t take her long to find something.

She smiled gleefully while saying, “We have found the rabbit. I will put some smoke screens on them. I sent you the location and you have a green light.”

Zi Han saw the location sent to his screen and he sneered. The fact that she thought she would be able to get away from this was quite amusing to him.

“Alright then. Let’s light them up,” said Zi Han and his mech turned sharply heading in the opposite direction.

Meanwhile, Yi Chen who had already freed himself sat on the bed while holding the outfit Zi Han had stripped off. He knew it wouldn’t take long before Zi Han to find this woman. The issue was whether to report it in or let it go.

He wanted to find Zi Han’s father for him but if it meant losing him forever then all of this wasn’t worth it. He knew for a fact that if he interfered now, Zi Han would most definitely get angry and he won’t be able to see him ever again.

Just the thought of not seeing that face again made him feel torn up inside. He just sat there his shoulders slumped with red-rimmed eyes. Yi Chen roughly ruffled his hair having made a decision. He wasn’t willing to go against Zi Han on this.

On the other hand, Zi Han suspected that Yi Chen would follow behind him thus he acted really fast. His mech fired several fog bombs on three stealth cruisers forcing them to lower their altitude.

The pilots didn’t expect that. They checked the radar but couldn’t find anything. Sheba didn’t even issue them with a proximity warning. They lowered the altitude and emerged from the cloud of smoke all except one stealth cruiser.

“AX5 do you have AX15 in your sights?” asked one of the pilots communicating with the stealth cruiser in front of them.

“Uh... no AX15 doesn’t even appear on my radar... shit,” yelled the pilot for AX5 when a mech abruptly flew past him causing the stealth cruiser to sway preventing a collision.

“What the fuck are you doing? Where is your stealth cruiser?” asked one of the pilots before another mech flew by while the pilot swore,

“Shit! I can’t see a thing in there. We got attacked by a phantom.”

“Sergeant, what the fuck do you mean by a phantom?”

The so-called phantom had torn a hole into the stealth cruiser pulling out the pilots and forcing them to engage their mechs. By the time their mechs were fully loaded the stealth cruiser was no longer visible in the thick fog thus they descended immediately almost colliding with the stealth cruisers below.

Zi Han opened the cockpit mid-flight and stepped out into the stealth cruiser. The sound of heavy boots mixed in with powerful sounds of the wind violently blowing filled the air.

The woman hiding underneath the seat curled further inside the hiding spot her body trembling. She had knowingly provoked the Bloodgarde in order to lure Zi Han out so she could get him arrested. Her plan wasn’t foolproof but she took the risk so she could ruin the person who ruined her plans.

She thought she would at least have a lot of personnel guarding her given that Yi Chen needed something from her but who would have thought things would end up like this?

The sound of heavy footsteps paused right next to where the woman was hiding and her body trembled in fright her face ghastly white like a ghost.

Zi Han sneered before grabbing her by the hair and said, “You had the guts to run your mouth yet you hide here like a coward... fascinating.”
